Fairmont

Fairmont is the alias of Canadian producer Jacob Fairley, who originates from Toronto and currently operates from Barcelona. Fairley began releasing music under the Fairmont moniker in 2010 and also produces under the aliases Jake Fairley, Jard Fireburg, and Hands Gruber. The project serves as what Fairley describes as his "soft side," creating techno-pop compositions that blend electronic production with vocal elements addressing themes of heartache and romance.

Fairmont's sound spans deep house, tech house, and melodic techno territories, with releases appearing on respected labels including My Favorite Robot Records, Bedrock Records, Suara, Days Of Being Wild, and Areal Records. His productions typically feature driving techno elements combined with melodic sensibilities, creating tracks suitable for both peak-time dance floors and more intimate listening experiences. Between 2010 and 2020, Fairmont released 15 tracks across these imprints, establishing a catalog that moves between the deeper, more contemplative side of house music and the driving energy of peak-time techno. The project also incorporates live performance elements, with Fairley delivering vocal performances alongside his electronic productions.
