Feiertag

Feiertag is the electronic music project of Dutch producer Joris Feiertag, born March 25, 1988, and based in Utrecht, Netherlands. He began his musical journey as a drummer at age 11 and later studied drums at the Conservatory of Amsterdam before transitioning into electronic production. Feiertag also operates under the alias Hamertje Tik and performs live as a one-man act incorporating live drumming. His first release appeared in August 2017, and he has since released 11 tracks across various labels.

Feiertag produces downtempo electronica that blends 2-step rhythms, broken beats, UK bass elements, and deep synthesizers with catchy vocal samples. His releases span labels including Sonar Kollektiv, Anjunadeep Explorations, Last Night On Earth, and R&S Records, indicating his versatility across the melodic house, organic house, and downtempo spectrum. His sound incorporates hip hop influences and lo-fi production techniques, creating soulful electronic compositions that work equally well for home listening and club warm-up sets. His music has evolved from instrumental downtempo beginnings toward more dancefloor-oriented melodic house productions while maintaining his signature soulful approach.
