Flabbergast

Flabbergast operates as a collective featuring Paul Vicient, Thierry Pelard, Vieux Renard, and Wetsuit, with the group also recording under the aliases Flakes & Teeves, Flabber, and Chest 8. The project began releasing music in December 2019 and has maintained consistent output through 2026 with six releases documented across multiple electronic music platforms.

The collective produces music spanning deep house, minimal/deep tech, tech house, afro house, and funky house, releasing material on established labels including Yoyaku, Circus Company, and Curation Best Of 2025. Their sound demonstrates versatility across the house music spectrum, moving between the stripped-down aesthetics of minimal tech and the groove-heavy elements of afro and funky house styles. This range positions Flabbergast as adaptable to different dancefloor contexts, from intimate club settings requiring deeper, more restrained tracks to peak-time moments demanding fuller, percussion-driven material.
