Forty Cats

Forty Cats is the production alias of Christina Gavrilova, a Russian DJ and producer born December 27, 1990, in Severomorsk. She began releasing music under the Forty Cats moniker in October 2021, establishing herself as a solo artist working across multiple electronic genres. Since her debut, she has released six tracks spanning a four-year period through 2025.

Her sound moves fluidly between progressive house, organic house, downtempo, melodic house and techno, and ambient territories. Forty Cats releases music on respected labels including Balance Music, Kindisch, and WARPP, positioning her work within the deeper, more melodic spectrum of house music. Her productions tend toward the contemplative side of electronic music, incorporating organic elements and melodic structures that align with the current downtempo house movement while maintaining enough energy for dancefloor application.
