Fossar

Fossar is the production alias of Chris Gruber, a German producer from Hessen who established himself in Hamburg's electronic music scene during the 2000s. Gruber served as resident DJ at Baalsaal, worked as A&R for the club's affiliated label, and was employed at record store Underground Solution. He has released music on established labels including Solomun's Diynamic, Liebe*Detail, Dessous Recordings, Bloop, and Drumpoet Community.

Under the Fossar moniker, Gruber produces house, deep house, and tech house tracks that have appeared on Fuck Reality and Zissou Records since March 2024. His sound draws from his deep house background developed during his Hamburg residency, translating the genre's warm, groove-focused approach into contemporary productions. With five releases documented between 2024 and 2025, Fossar represents Gruber's current creative output, connecting his established reputation in German underground dance music with newer label partnerships.
