Four Tet

Four Tet is the primary alias of Kieran Miles David Hebden, a British electronic musician and producer born September 2, 1977 in Putney, London. Hebden began his musical career in 1994 as part of post-rock band Fridge before transitioning to electronic music under the Four Tet moniker. He operates Text Records, his own imprint, and has released music under additional aliases including Joshua Falken and 4T Recordings. Hebden collaborated extensively with jazz drummer Steve Reid during the latter part of Reid's career.

Four Tet's sound spans electronica, deep house, and house music, with his approach evolving from post-rock influences toward more dance-oriented productions. His releases appear across Text Records, Young Turks, OWSLA, and Atlantic Records UK, with 35 releases documented since 2013. The music incorporates downtempo elements alongside dubstep and dance influences, creating tracks that work both for home listening and DJ sets. His productions blend organic textures with electronic beats, moving between ambient electronica and club-ready house music depending on the release.
