Frankie Bones

Frankie Bones, born Frank Mitchell in 1966, operates from Brooklyn and began his career in 1987 after working at Apexton Records' pressing plant and A&R division for their Underworld Records imprint. The American DJ and producer gained prominence through his residency at the "Energy" raves at The Eclipse in the UK, becoming instrumental in bringing techno to European audiences. He runs the Sonic Groove label and has released music under aliases including Lake Eerie, The Break Boys, and Frankie Mitchell.

Bones produces peak time driving techno and raw deep hypnotic techno, with releases spanning house music as well. His music appears on established labels including Intec, Sonic Groove, Trax Records, Dreizehn Schallplatten, and LF RMX, with his recent catalog dating from 2017 to 2025. His sound centers on acid techno and rave-influenced productions that maintain the high-energy characteristics essential for peak time DJ sets, reflecting his decades of experience in both underground warehouse parties and major club environments.
