About

Franncø is the electronic music project of Brazilian musician João José Lucrécio, who operates as a group from Salto. Lucrécio began his musical journey studying piano at age 9 and bass at 14, later forming Quarteto Suíte Combo at 16 with Simoninha, João Marcelo Bôscoli and Marcelo Lima. In 1991, César Camargo Mariano invited the group to perform at the Free Jazz Festival, leading to their participation in Jorge Ben Jor's 1992 album "23" and a 15-year tenure in Jorge's band before transitioning to electronic music production.

Franncø's sound spans raw techno, deep house, and Afro house, with releases appearing on labels including Aum Recordings, trau-ma, The Acid Mind Recordings, and PRTL WRX since April 2025. The project incorporates breaks and UK bass elements alongside hypnotic techno, drawing from Lucrécio's extensive background in Brazilian music to create deep, rhythm-focused productions. With five releases across multiple genres in just three months, Franncø demonstrates versatility in both house music's warmer territories and techno's harder edges, positioning the project within the contemporary underground electronic scene.
