Garnica

Rafael López Garnica produces electronic music under the name Garnica, drawing from his background as a drummer who toured with bands in the late 90s before transitioning to electronic music production. He ran his own radio show for seven years, which helped develop his approach to blending Venezuelan and South American musical influences with disco and early UK four-to-the-floor sounds. Garnica released eight tracks on Electrobuzz between 2009 and 2013, marking his active period in electronic music production.

Garnica's sound spans deep house, indie dance, nu disco, tech house, and progressive house, reflecting his diverse musical influences from funk and disco vinyl. His productions incorporate elements from Venezuelan and South American music traditions, creating tracks that blend Latin rhythms with electronic dance music frameworks. The combination of his drumming background and radio show experience results in music that draws from both vintage disco aesthetics and contemporary house music production techniques.
