Grad_U

Grad_U is the project of Aleksandr Martinkevič, a Lithuanian producer and DJ based in Vilnius who began releasing music in 2013. His debut appeared on the Greyscale label, marking the start of a prolific output that has yielded 18 releases across multiple imprints over more than a decade of activity.

His sound centers on dub techno and raw hypnotic techno, with releases spanning from peak-time driving material to deeper ambient explorations. Grad_U has released music on respected labels including Echocord, Echo Echo, redscale, and Pro-tez Records, showcasing a range that moves from minimal techno and drone textures to house and electronica. His productions typically favor hypnotic, stripped-down arrangements that work equally well in late-night club settings and home listening environments, with a consistent focus on spacious, reverb-heavy atmospherics rooted in the dub techno tradition.
