Hardwell

Robbert van de Corput, known as Hardwell, is a Dutch DJ and producer from Breda who began his career in 1988 and learned piano at age four. The North Brabant native was voted the world's number one DJ by DJ Mag in both 2013 and 2014, and ranked fourth in their 2017 poll. He has performed at major festivals including Ultra Music Festival, Sunburn, and Tomorrowland. Hardwell has also released music under the aliases Sandwich, Mister Hard, and David Kidd throughout his career.

Since August 2023, Hardwell has shifted his sound dramatically from his earlier progressive house roots into darker territory, releasing six tracks that span techno, Afro house, and drum & bass. His recent output on HILOMATIK and Armada Music showcases raw and hypnotic techno alongside deep house elements, marking a significant evolution from his festival-oriented progressive house background. The Dutch producer's 2023-2025 releases demonstrate his exploration of higher-tempo genres including drum & bass, while maintaining connections to his house music foundation through Afro house productions.
