Hart

Hart is the electronic music alias of Paul Brian Hart, a British multi-instrumentalist and composer who studied piano, violin and composition at the Royal College of Music. Hart began his career as a session musician, working as a bass player, piano accompanist and jazz violinist with Cleo Laine and John Dankworth before transitioning into electronic music production in 2012. He co-founded the music production company Joe & Co with Joe Campbell, specializing in compositions for advertising, film and television.

Hart's electronic output spans minimal deep tech, deep house, tech house, indie dance and nu disco across 17 releases from 2012 to 2023. His tracks appear on labels including Do Not Sleep, BODYGRÜV, NastyFunk Records, Low Groove Records and PIXELATE. Drawing from his classical training and jazz background, Hart's productions blend house music fundamentals with sophisticated musical arrangements, creating tracks that work equally well in underground club settings and more melodic dance music contexts.
