Head High

Head High is the alias of German DJ and producer René Pawlowitz, born in 1975 in Frankfurt (Oder). Pawlowitz operates under several aliases including Shed, STP, and EQD, with Head High serving as his house-focused project since his first release in October 2012. The German producer has released five records under the Head High moniker through 2022.

Head High's sound spans house, techno, electro, and minimal deep tech territories, with releases appearing on Power House and Phantasy Sound labels. His productions blend classic Detroit electro influences with driving peak-time techno elements and stripped-down minimal arrangements. The project represents Pawlowitz's exploration of dancefloor-oriented house music, contrasting with his other aliases that venture into different electronic music styles. His releases maintain consistent energy levels suitable for club environments while incorporating both modern production techniques and classic electronic music references.
