Heathered Pearls

Heathered Pearls is the project of Polish-born American producer Jakub Alexander, who also operates under the aliases Aarnio and his given name. Alexander founded Moodgadget Records and curates the IS050 Blog, establishing himself as both an artist and label owner since beginning his recording career in 2013. He has released six records across an eight-year span, with his first release appearing in September 2013 and his most recent in March 2021.

Alexander's sound spans ambient and dub techno territories, creating atmospheric electronic music that moves between contemplative downtempo pieces and driving peak-time techno. His releases appear on respected labels including Ghostly International and Hotflush Recordings, both known for forward-thinking electronic music. The Heathered Pearls catalog encompasses electronica, drum & bass, and album-format releases, demonstrating a versatility that extends from beatless ambient explorations to dancefloor-focused productions suitable for late-night DJ sets.
