Heist is Jim Muir, a UK-based producer who operates under multiple aliases including Strider. Muir gained recognition in the drum & bass scene as Goldie's engineer, working on projects for both Goldie and Rufige Kru. He began releasing house music under the Heist moniker in December 2023, with seven releases catalogued through December 2025.
Heist's sound spans house, deep house, melodic house & techno, peak time driving techno, and Afro house, all released through SURO Records. His productions demonstrate versatility across the house spectrum, from the deeper, groove-oriented tracks to more driving, peak-time oriented material suitable for main room settings. The incorporation of Afro house elements alongside his melodic house & techno approach suggests a producer comfortable working across different energy levels and moods within the broader house music framework.
