Hertz Collision

Hertz Collision is an Italian techno project from Firenze that began releasing music in 2014. Originally formed as a duo consisting of Francesco Profeti and Pietro Franchini, the project has operated as a solo endeavor run entirely by Francesco Profeti since 2019. Over the past decade, Hertz Collision has maintained consistent output with 26 releases spanning from the debut in October 2014 through upcoming releases scheduled into late 2025.

The project delivers peak time and driving techno alongside raw, deep, and hypnotic variations, with occasional forays into electronica and leftfield house territories. Hertz Collision releases appear on respected labels including Truncate, UNCAGE, Clergy, Sublunar, and Persistence. The music maintains the driving energy and hypnotic elements characteristic of contemporary Italian techno, balancing dancefloor functionality with deeper, more introspective compositions. The consistent release schedule across multiple established labels demonstrates sustained momentum within the underground techno circuit.
