About

Hertz is a Swedish techno project created by Pierre Jerksten, who launched the act in 2001 and remains active today. Between 2009 and 2012, Hertz operated as a duo with the addition of Petter Börgesson (Petter B), before returning to Jerksten's solo project. The artist has maintained consistent output since his first documented release in January 2012, accumulating 44 releases across his career. Jerksten also produces under the aliases Espionage, Homerun, and Man-To-Man.

Hertz produces techno spanning raw, deep, and hypnotic styles through to peak time driving material, alongside house, deep house, and tech house productions. The project has released music on established labels including Drumcode, Tronic, Suara, Sway, 1605, Primate, Phont, Zync, SLS, and Recycled Loops, with tracks reaching Beatport's top 100 charts. Jerksten's productions have garnered support from techno's established names including Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Jeff Mills, and Umek, indicating the project's appeal to both underground and main stage DJs seeking driving techno material.
