High Contrast

High Contrast is Lincoln J. Barrett, a Welsh drum and bass producer from Penarth who began his career in 1979. Barrett operates under several aliases including The Contrast, Lincoln Barrett, and Two Fisted Tales. He previously worked at Catapult record shop and is the son of Paul Barrett, former manager of Shakin' Stevens. Barrett has released music on Hospital Records and Anjunadeep, with his first tracked release appearing in August 2018.

Barrett's sound spans drum and bass, house, afro house, bass house, and deep house across his five releases between 2018 and 2026. His Hospital Records releases maintain the label's signature liquid drum and bass approach, while his work on Anjunadeep explores deeper house territories.
