Hitam operates from Amsterdam as the alias of Daeng Hitam, a guitarist from Jugra who transitioned into electronic music production. The artist launched their techno career in April 2023 with their first release and has since produced six releases across multiple labels. Hitam releases music on Omen Wapta, Hayes, Conundrum Records from the US, and Reclaim Your City.

Hitam produces raw, deep, and hypnotic techno alongside peak time driving tracks that span the intensity spectrum from underground club moments to main floor peak hours. The productions move between introspective, textured soundscapes and harder-hitting dancefloor weapons designed for extended DJ sets.
