Hollis P. Monroe is a Canadian electronic music producer who operates under several aliases including DJ Decent, Mr. Butch, and Hollisinate. Beginning his musical journey in hip hop culture through break-dancing, DJing, and beat making, Monroe transitioned into house music production and released his first electronic track in February 2012. His musical perspective shifted after discovering Prince's Sign O' The Times during his high school years, which influenced his approach to beat making and electronic music production.
