Howie Lee
About
Howie Lee (real name: Li Huadi; Chinese: 李化迪) is a Beijing producer currently living in London, creating experimental bass whilst dabbling in multiple genres and styles from east and west.
Lee started releasing music in 2010. A year later he co-founded Do Hits as a club night, which eventually evolved into an independent label featuring Chinese electronic producers artists such as Jason Hou, Zaliva-D and Guzz.
His own albums include Mù Chè Shān Chū (2015), the "Socialism Core Value" trilogy (2017 - 2019) and Tiān Dì Bù Rén (2019). His latest release, the eclectic mini album Birdy Island, released in 2021 but recorded in late 2018, is less club oriented, incorporating elements of fourth world fusion and ambient music.
