Ikonika

Sara Abdel-Hamid operates as Ikonika, a London-based electronic producer and DJ who began releasing music in 2014. Before adopting the Ikonika moniker, Abdel-Hamid produced under the alias Kill Kip. She runs the label Hum + Buzz alongside Optimum from Night Slugs and Planet Mu, establishing herself as both artist and label curator within London's electronic music scene.

Ikonika's sound spans dubstep, house, and bass music, with releases appearing on Hyperdub, Don't Be Afraid Records, and Night Slugs since 2014. Her productions blend the heavyweight low-end of dubstep with house rhythms and club-focused bass elements, creating tracks that work equally in after-hours sets and peak-time DJ sets. The music maintains the experimental edge associated with Hyperdub's roster while delivering the dancefloor functionality expected from Night Slugs releases, positioning her work within both the UK's bass music continuum and contemporary club music.
