Intrusion

Intrusion is the ambient and dub techno project of American producer Stephen Hitchell, who operates under several aliases including Radius and Soultek. Hitchell began releasing music as Intrusion in 2014, with his debut appearing on Echospace [Detroit], the influential dub techno imprint run by cv313 and Rod Modell.

Intrusion's sound centers on deep dub techno, characterized by submerged kicks, analog delay chains, and atmospheric textures that move at hypnotic tempos typical of the genre's Detroit lineage. Between 2014 and 2015, Hitchell released five works through Echospace [Detroit], including full-length albums that showcase his approach to spacious, reverb-drenched compositions. His productions lean toward the deeper end of the dub techno spectrum, with tracks that unfold gradually through filtered elements and dubbed-out processing, making them suitable for late-night sets and introspective dance floor moments.
