Jam El Mar

Rolf Johannes Ellmer, known as Jam El Mar, is a German producer and DJ from Karlsruhe who was born in 1960. A classically trained concert guitarist, he became one half of the legendary duo Jam & Spoon alongside Markus Löffel (Mark Spoon), and also recorded under aliases including Tokyo Ghetto Pussy and Storm. As a solo artist under the Jam El Mar moniker, he began releasing tracks in 2017 and has maintained consistent output through 2025.

Jam El Mar's solo productions span peak time driving techno, raw deep hypnotic techno, and main floor trance, with recent ventures into hard techno territory. His releases appear on respected imprints including Tronic, Truesoul, Black Hole Recordings, Riot Recordings, and Rave The Planet. The music maintains the driving energy and melodic sensibilities that defined his earlier trance work while adapting to contemporary techno frameworks, delivering both peak time floor destroyers and deeper hypnotic cuts suitable for extended DJ sets.
