James Kumo

James Kumo is a Manchester-based DJ and producer who began releasing music in 2010. He runs his own label Wayout Records and has maintained an active release schedule spanning over a decade, with his most recent output scheduled for September 2025.

Kumo's sound traverses the house and techno spectrum, moving from deep house and minimal deep tech through to peak time driving techno. His 10 releases have appeared on respected labels including Freerange Records and IVAV Recordings, alongside his own Wayout Records imprint. His productions range from the contemplative depths of minimal house to the driving energy of peak time techno, making his catalog suitable for both intimate club moments and peak floor scenarios.
