Jengi

Jengi is the project of Dutch producer Jan Theo Berendsen, who began releasing music in December 2022. The Netherlands-based artist operates under the alias Jan Berendsen and maintains an active presence across major streaming platforms and social media channels.

Jengi produces house music that spans multiple subgenres, from afro house to melodic house and techno, with occasional forays into breaks, breakbeat, and UK bass territories. His releases appear on established labels including FFRR, Three Six Zero, and Spinnin Deep, with six releases documented between 2022 and 2025. The sound encompasses both the deeper, percussive elements of afro house and the more melodic, progressive aspects of contemporary house music, offering DJs material suitable for both peak-time and deeper set moments across various BPM ranges.
