JGarrett is the primary music project of Vancouver-based producer Joshua M. Garrett, who originates from Ann Arbor, Michigan with deep family roots in Detroit. Garrett became involved in the Detroit techno and rave communities during the 1990s before relocating to Vancouver. He also produces under the aliases Xyn, Countered, and Linoleum Head, and began releasing music in February 2018.

Garrett produces raw, deep, and hypnotic techno alongside peak time driving variations, hard techno, and classic Detroit-influenced electro. His releases appear on established labels including Perc Trax, RF, Dirty Minds, and SubSensory Recordings. The Canadian producer's output spans from deep, hypnotic grooves suitable for extended sets to harder, peak time material designed for main room environments. His connection to Detroit's techno heritage influences his electro productions, which incorporate classic Motor City aesthetics with modern production techniques.
