Joey Beltram

Joey Beltram, born November 6, 1971 in Queens, New York, began DJing at age 12 in 1983, initially spinning electro and hip-hop before transitioning to house music in 1985 when Chicago house reached NYC. The American producer has released music under several aliases including JB³, Direct, and Code 6, establishing himself as a key figure in underground dance music development since the late 1980s.

Beltram produces techno across multiple subgenres, from peak time driving tracks to raw, deep, and hypnotic compositions, alongside tech house, traditional house, and dub techno. His releases appear on respected labels including Tresor Records, R&S Records, and Trax Records, with his Electrobuzz catalog spanning from 2010 to 2026 and encompassing six releases. His sound ranges from the driving energy of peak time techno to the deeper, more contemplative territory of dub techno, making his catalog suitable for both main room moments and more intimate dancefloor experiences.
