John Talabot

John Talabot is the production alias of Spanish artist Oriol Riverola, who began releasing electronic music in 2010. Born in 1982, Riverola also produces under the aliases D.A.R.Y.L. and Parple, showcasing different facets of his electronic music approach. He runs Hivern Discs, a Barcelona-based label that has become his primary release platform since launching his career over a decade ago.

Talabot operates primarily within deep house and nu disco territories, crafting tracks that blend house rhythms with indie dance sensibilities and tech house elements. His releases on Hivern Discs and Permanent Vacation typically feature mid-tempo grooves that balance dancefloor functionality with melodic sophistication. Since his 2010 debut, Talabot has maintained consistent output across these labels, with his most recent release appearing in February 2023.
