John Tejada

John Tejada is a Vienna-born, Los Angeles-based electronic music producer who began his professional output in 1994. He operates under aliases including Lucid Dream, Mr. Hazeltine, and Autodidact, and founded his own label Palette Recordings in 1996. Since launching his career, Tejada has released four albums on Kompakt, with additional releases appearing on labels including Acid Test, Areal Records, and his own Palette imprint.

Tejada produces tech house and driving techno characterized by precise programming and methodical builds suitable for peak-time DJ sets. His releases on Kompakt demonstrate a more refined approach to techno production, while his Palette Recordings output spans house and electronica territories. With over 70 releases documented between 2010 and 2024, his catalog includes both dancefloor-focused tracks and home listening material, maintaining consistent activity across techno, tech house, and electronic genres. His remix work includes treatments for The Postal Service, Bomb the Bass, and Kevin Saunderson.
