Josh Butler

Josh Butler is a British DJ and producer from Leeds, West Yorkshire, who began releasing music in 2013. Born Joshua Butler, he has operated under the aliases Denton and KAHU throughout his career. Butler founded his own label ORIGINS RCRDS in 2016, establishing himself as both an artist and label owner within the UK house music scene.

Butler produces tech house, house, and deep house tracks that span from driving club-ready cuts to more melodic compositions. He has released 106 tracks across labels including his own ORIGINS RCRDS, Rejected, Defected, Material, and 8bit between 2013 and 2023. His sound encompasses the full spectrum of house tempos, from deeper 120-124 BPM grooves to harder-hitting tech house tracks that push into the 126-128 BPM range. Butler's productions blend the percussive elements of tech house with the melodic sensibilities of deep house, creating tracks suitable for both peak-time and after-hours sets.
