Josh Winkelman, known professionally as Josh Wink, operates from Philadelphia where he was born on April 20, 1970. He founded Ovum Recordings as an independent label in October 1994 with former partner King Britt, establishing himself as both producer and label owner. Wink releases music under multiple aliases including Size 9, The Crusher, and Dinky Dog, with his first documented release on Electrobuzz dating to February 2010.
Wink produces techno spanning peak time driving tracks to raw deep hypnotic material, alongside house, tech house, and melodic house & techno. His 58 releases appear on labels including his own Ovum Recordings, Strictly Rhythm, Freerange Records, Boysnoize Records, and Intec. His sound ranges from big beat and rave influences to contemporary techno and house formats, with consistent output through 2025 demonstrating his sustained presence in electronic music production across multiple tempo ranges and energy levels.
