Julius Steinhoff

Julius Steinhoff is a German DJ and producer who founded the Smallville Records label. He began releasing music in 2012 with his debut on his own Smallville imprint in April of that year. Steinhoff operates as a solo artist and has maintained Smallville as his primary creative outlet while also releasing material on the Church label.

Steinhoff produces deep house and peak time driving techno, with his five releases spanning from 2012 to 2019 demonstrating his range across both contemplative and dancefloor-focused territories. His work on Smallville Records showcases deeper, more introspective productions, while his material balances between the hypnotic qualities of deep house and the driving energy characteristic of peak time techno. The seven-year gap in his discography reflects a selective approach to releases, with his most recent output appearing on Church in July 2019.
