Jurgen Paape

German producer Jürgen Paape co-founded and co-owns Cologne's Kompakt label and record store, one of electronic music's most influential imprints. He also founded Lifeline Records and produces under several aliases including Care, F.I.N.E., and Areal, establishing himself as a central figure in Germany's electronic music infrastructure since the label's inception.

Paape's sound spans deep house, house, techno, indie dance, and melodic house & techno, with releases primarily appearing on his own Kompakt imprint. His productions range from hypnotic deep techno to more accessible melodic house territories, reflecting Kompakt's signature approach of bridging underground credibility with broader appeal.
