Jake Williams operates under the JX moniker from Brighton, releasing electronic music since 2018. The British producer previously achieved commercial success in the 1990s with the JX project, including the UK Singles Chart #4 hit "There's Nothing I Won't Do" in 1996, which sold over 500,000 copies. Williams has also released music under the aliases Mekka, Oblik, and Rex The Dog throughout his career.

JX's current output spans peak time techno and house, appearing on labels including SUB TL, Bek Audio, Sleaze Records UK, True Type Tracks, and Three Six Zero. His recent material focuses on driving techno rhythms designed for peak hour club sets, marking a shift from his earlier trance and Eurodance productions.
