K.I.Z

K.I.Z is a German hip hop group from Berlin, formed in 2005 and comprising members Sil Yan, Maxim Drüner, Tarek Ebéné, and Nico Seyfrid. The group's style incorporates elements of battle rap, crunk, grime, punk, and electro, establishing them in Berlin's underground scene before expanding into electronic music production. They began releasing electronic music in 2014, marking a departure from their hip hop origins.

Their electronic output spans house, deep house, peak time techno, and electronica downtempo, with releases appearing on Warp Records, Yoruba Grooves, JUNGLE GYM Records, and 2DIY4. The group's electronic productions blend their punk and electro influences with driving techno elements and deeper house grooves, creating tracks that work across different parts of a DJ set. Their sound ranges from introspective downtempo pieces to peak time driving techno, maintaining the group's confrontational energy while adapting to club-focused formats.
