Kalumet

Kalumet is the electronic music project of Zoltán Vajda, a Hungarian producer born June 16, 1978, and based in Budapest. Vajda also operates under the aliases Trevor McGregor, Ork Monk, and Soundokan, with his Kalumet project launching its first release in December 2023. He has released six tracks through labels including Navigare Audio, Fur:ther Sessions, Oslated, Lotus Parable, and Space Textures.

Kalumet produces raw, deep, and hypnotic techno that draws from his background in psytrance and psychedelic techno. His sound incorporates elements of progressive techno and psychedelic trance, creating dense, driving compositions suited for peak-time sets. The project represents a shift from Vajda's earlier work in chillout, dub, and world beat music toward harder, club-focused material, with releases appearing consistently across underground techno imprints throughout 2024 and into 2025.
