Ken Ishii

Ken Ishii is a Japanese DJ and producer born May 12, 1970 in Sapporo, Hokkaido. He operates under several aliases including Flare, UTU, and Rising Sun, and has maintained an active release schedule since 2012. Ishii produces under his real name 石井健 (Ishii Ken) and represents himself in Katakana as ケン・イシイ or ケンイシイ.

Ishii's sound spans peak time driving techno and raw deep hypnotic techno, alongside house and melodic house & techno productions. He releases on established labels including Tronic, Stickrecordings, Riot Recordings, RSPX, and ARTS, with 34 documented releases between August 2012 and December 2025.
