Konvex (FR)

Konvex (FR) is a French duo based in Montpellier, consisting of multi-instrumentalists Guilhem Cleyet Merle (Konvex) and Rodéric (The Shadow). Konvex handles DJ duties, percussion, and vocals, while Rodéric operates as drummer, keyboardist, and mastering engineer. The project also performs under the full name Konvex & The Shadow (KATS), with their influences spanning electronic music, funk, disco, rock, and orchestral styles. They began releasing music in March 2024 and have accumulated 22 releases across various labels.

Their sound centers on Melodic House & Techno with extensive crossover into Afro House, Deep House, Tech House, and traditional House. The duo releases primarily through AZZUR, One Tribe Records, Maccabi House, and VOD, with their work also appearing on compilation series like Curation Best Of 2025. Their multi-instrumental background translates into productions that blend electronic programming with live percussion and vocal elements, creating material suitable for both peak-time and deeper moments in DJ sets. The combination of Konvex's percussive approach and Rodéric's keyboard work results in tracks that maintain dancefloor functionality while incorporating organic instrumentation.
