Kubrick

Kubrick is a Dutch electronic duo comprising Edgar Tjokrohamidjojo and L Van Kooten. The group originally emerged in the nineties as a techno and trance act before transitioning into minimal and deep house production. Their recent activity on Electrobuzz began in April 2020, marking a return to releasing music after an extended hiatus.

Their current output spans minimal tech, deep house, and raw techno territories, with releases appearing on Puls Romania alongside several independent releases. Kubrick's productions lean toward the deeper, more hypnotic end of the electronic spectrum, focusing on stripped-down arrangements and subtle progression rather than peak-time energy. Their five releases between 2020 and 2025 demonstrate a consistent approach to groove-oriented minimal techno that sits comfortably in extended DJ sets requiring tracks that build tension through repetition and gradual sonic evolution.
