L/F/D/M is the project of Richard Smith, a London-based producer who also releases under the alias R. Smith. Smith began releasing electronic music in 2025, with his debut appearing on Urban Kickz Recordings that May. The artist maintains an active online presence through Bandcamp, SoundCloud, and Twitter platforms.

L/F/D/M produces raw, deep, and hypnotic techno alongside classic Detroit-influenced electro and peak-time driving techno tracks. Smith has released across four labels including Urban Kickz Recordings, Selvamancer, Fanzine, and Diffuse Reality Records, accumulating five releases between May 2025 and February 2026. His sound spans from acid-tinged electronic productions to harder-edged techno, offering DJs material suitable for both deeper sets and peak-time floors.
