Lady Maru

Lady Maru is an Italian techno artist who began producing music with an electric guitar, toy percussions, and a Tascam 4-track recorder before transitioning into electronic music. She initially performed as a noise guitarist and Casio player for post-punk and no-wave bands in Rome. Her DJ career started in small Roman cult clubs and underground raves, where she developed her approach by combining post-punk and techno influences.

Her current sound as both producer and DJ centers on acid techno with industrial, tribe, and hardcore influences. Lady Maru releases on SMR Underground, with five releases spanning from 2025 to 2026 across genres including peak time driving techno, hard techno, and raw hypnotic techno. Her productions also incorporate electro elements, reflecting her evolution from guitarist to electronic music producer while maintaining the aggressive energy rooted in her punk background.
