Lakker is a techno duo from Dublin, Ireland, formed in 2003 by Ian McDonnell (also known as Eomac) and Dara Smith (also known as Arad). The pair relocated to Berlin, Germany, where they continue to operate as a group. Since their first Electrobuzz-tracked release in August 2013, they have issued eight releases spanning techno, electronica, and electro genres.
The duo produces peak time and driving techno alongside experimental electronica and modern electro tracks. Lakker releases music on R&S Records, Stroboscopic Artefact, and Blueprint, with R&S Records serving as their primary label outlet. Their sound ranges from dancefloor-focused techno to more experimental electronic compositions, demonstrating their ability to work across multiple electronic music contexts within the underground scene.
