Lakou Mizik

Lakou Mizik is a Haitian group from Port-au-Prince that formed in 2010, featuring member Steeve Valcourt. The collective began releasing electronic music in 2021, marking a shift from their traditional rasin and rara roots into the electronic music sphere. They have released 10 tracks across various electronic genres since entering the scene.

The group produces deep house and organic house tracks with Afro house influences, creating downtempo electronic music that incorporates their Haitian musical heritage. Lakou Mizik releases exclusively on Anjunadeep, bringing a distinctive Caribbean perspective to the label's catalog. Their sound spans from classic electro to modern electronica, with releases continuing through 2025 that blend traditional Haitian rhythms with contemporary electronic production techniques.
