Lars Bartkuhn

Lars Bartkuhn is a producer, composer and guitarist from Frankfurt, Germany, now based in Brazil. He ran Needs Music with his brother Marek Bartkuhn and friend Jan "Yannick" Elverfeld. Bartkuhn also produces under the aliases Laurentius and Passion Dance Orchestra, with his first release appearing in December 2021.

Bartkuhn produces house, deep house, and electronica tracks that have found a home on Rush Hour, the respected Amsterdam-based label known for its diverse electronic music catalog. His sound spans from deep house grooves to broader electronic compositions, drawing from his background as both a guitarist and electronic producer. Since 2021, he has released five tracks, with releases scheduled through May 2025, establishing a consistent output that showcases his evolution from Frankfurt's electronic scene to his current base in Brazil.
