lau.ra is the electronic music alias of Laura Bettinson, a UK producer, DJ, and vocalist from Rugby who launched the project in 2020. Bettinson, born in 1987, also performs under the aliases Femme and Dimbleby & Capper, bringing her established songwriting and production background into the electronic music sphere with her lau.ra moniker.

Her sound spans melodic house and techno, tech house, and Afro house, with occasional forays into 140 BPM dubstep and grime territories. lau.ra releases on respected labels including Anjunadeep, Ninja Tune, Needwant, Different, and Last Night On Earth, accumulating 12 releases since her debut in February 2020.
