Le Son Du Placard

Le Son Du Placard operates as a techno producer and live act based in Clermont-Ferrand, France. The project began releasing music in April 2016 and has maintained consistent output through 2025, accumulating nine releases across multiple labels. Le Son Du Placard started experimenting with electronic music as a teenager, drawn to what the artist describes as "heady beats" and electronic sounds that would later inform a darker techno aesthetic.

Le Son Du Placard produces peak time driving techno, minimal deep tech, and psy-trance, creating what the artist characterizes as "dark ambiences" with science fiction influences. The project releases on labels including Friendly Critters, Music4Aliens, Zettabyte, Phobos Records, and Subios Records. The music emphasizes darker techno territories with driving rhythms designed for peak time dancefloor moments, while also incorporating minimal deep tech elements and psy-trance structures that reflect the artist's interest in "weird feelings" and experimental electronic approaches.
