Legowelt

Danny Wolfers, known as Legowelt, operates from The Hague in the Netherlands, where he began producing electronic music in the early 1990s. The Dutch producer also releases material under the aliases Polarius, Squadra Blanco, and Gladio. Clone West Coast Series issued his first Legowelt 12-inch in 1998, and he established his own label Nightwind Records in 2006.

Legowelt crafts what he describes as "a hybrid form of slam jack combined with deep Chicago house, romantic ghetto technofunk and EuroHorror Soundtrack." His releases span peak time driving techno, deep house, and broader electronic territories across labels including NIGHTWIND RECORDS, Unknown to the Unknown, Riverette, BAKK, and Clone West Coast Series. With 59 documented releases between 2010 and 2023, his catalog demonstrates consistent output that moves between driving techno rhythms and deeper house grooves, maintaining the cinematic quality suggested by his EuroHorror soundtrack influences.
