Lemna

Lemna is the electronic music project of Japanese producer Maiko Okimoto, who also performs under the aliases Key MC and Key. Based in Japan, Okimoto began releasing music as Lemna in November 2017 and has maintained a steady output of five releases through 2025. The project operates across multiple electronic music territories without running a dedicated label.

Lemna's sound spans from peak time driving techno to ambient electronica, with house music serving as another core component of the project's range. Okimoto releases music through respected labels including Netherlands-based Delsin Records, Germany's Horo, and Northallsen Records. The music moves between high-energy club-focused techno tracks designed for peak time sets and more introspective ambient compositions, demonstrating Okimoto's ability to work across different tempos and energy levels within electronic music's broader spectrum. This versatility has allowed Lemna to develop a catalog that serves both dancefloor and listening contexts since 2017.
