Life on Planets

Life on Planets began as a duo from Baltimore in 2014, formed when two artists met in the studio lofts of their east coast hometown. The project originally fused indie artrock with electronic music before transitioning to a solo act under Phillip Jenkins, who also performs as Phill Celeste and Phillip Anthony Jenkins Jr. The project has maintained consistent output since its first release in January 2015, accumulating 53 releases across multiple respected labels.

The Life on Planets sound spans house, tech house, and deep house territories, with forays into indie dance and nu disco. Jenkins releases music on established labels including Wolf & Lamb Records, dirtybird, Soul Clap Records, Classic Music Company, and Heist Recordings. The music operates within house music's typical 120-128 BPM range, delivering both dancefloor-focused tracks and deeper, more introspective compositions that reflect the project's indie artrock origins. This versatility across house subgenres makes Life on Planets suitable for both peak-time and deeper set moments.
